“’Waste not – Want not’ that’s what I was taught” said Olivia Hittner, as she explained the circle of life at The Farming Fish, an aquaponic farm where water keeps a constant stream of nutrients flowing form the six pools of swimming tilapia to floating islands of living lettuce and back again.

Emulating the streams that surround the farm, underground pipes, gravity and pump system create an environment for fish and lettuce to thrive.
